Our Projects
Mondo’s Mission supports local organizations that work to empower the youth in our community. In 2022-2023, we supported the following organizations and youth programs.
Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal
Donation: Renovated Teen Club
The mission of the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal is to empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Mondo’s Mission was fortunate to partner with the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal focusing on renovating the teen club located at First Christian Church. We replaced a broken pool table, two broken couches, three broken loveseats, hung window blinds, and created a calming space for teens looking to relax and take a minute to reflect. We also purchased outdoor games including spikeball, ladder ball, and wiffle ball for the summer camp program. In addition, we provided four iPads to allow the club to stay connected with the main center and provide the teens with an opportunity to complete homework or explore online when they may not have the capability from home.
Promise Council
Donation: Clothing and Grooming Products
The mission of the Promise Council is to create a sustainable network of caring adults to connect and engage community resources that remove barriers to learning so all children can achieve success through education.
We supported Bloomington High School and Bloomington Junior High School through your donations by purchasing leggings, sweatpants, T-shirts, underwear, deodorant, hygiene products, snacks, and other necessary items to fulfill their wishlists. These items are available to any student that needs them.
Bloomington High School
Donation: Launch Monitors and Sound System
Bloomington High School is a diverse community that supports lifelong learners who are responsible and productive citizens in our global society.
With your generous donations, Mondo’s Mission donated two launch monitors to the Boys’ Golf Team. Launch monitors enable team members to improve their golf swings and encourage them to stay engaged year round in an activity they love, while keeping up their grades, so they can participate in team events.
We also supported the BHS Bob Loy Natatorium with a much needed sound system! This high-quality sound system will help the swimmers and fans stay connected as they’ll be able to hear event announcements and communications.
Western Avenue Community Center
Donation: Fulfilled Amazon Wishlist
The mission of Western Avenue Community Center is to be a trusted place of safety and hope that supports our community by providing educational, recreational, and health resources.
The kids at Western Avenue were excited to receive an abundance of outdoor equipment like basketballs, footballs, volleyballs, and nets, and other activities such as craft kits, science kits, hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, and even Kindle Fire tablets thanks to your help!
These additions help these kids explore their interests in and out of the classroom.
